"Sounds for the Soul" Free Inspirational Music Concert

Choirs and instrumentalists from the nationally televised "My Sunday Mass" will perform in a free community concert at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, Nov. 8. The "Sounds for the Soul" concert offers an evening of inspirational music in the landmark St. Joseph Chapel, on Milwaukee's South Side.

"The sights and sounds of the program will highlight the inspiration people find through music across time and cultures," said Deanna Page Tritz, liturgical and musical director for the TV Mass.

Performances will range from a harp solo to full choirs. The Madrigal Ensemble from Pius XI High School will appear in traditional garb reminiscent of the Renaissance and Baroque eras. All Saints Choir members will wear ethnic clothing.

St. Joseph Chapel, located at 1501 S. Layton Blvd. (S. 27th Street) in Milwaukee, seats 500 beneath a skylit ceiling rising 70 feet. The space is adorned with 150 stained-glass windows and intricate mosaics, offering a spectacular venue for the concert.

For concert reservations, call (414) 475-4700, or send an e-mail with your name and number of reservations to Mail@HeartoftheNation.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.
