Milwaukee Art Museums Celebrates Grand Opening of New Kohl’s Art Generation Exhibition, Illusions: Near and Far

Kohl’s and the Milwaukee Art Museum are pleased to present Illusions: Near and Far, the newest exhibit in the Kohl’s Art Generation Gallery. Opening to the public on Oct. 26, children and families are invited to visit and interact with the new space that was designed to show how artistic techniques play “tricks on the eye”, creating depth and dimension in 2-D art.

The exhibit is divided into four imaginative and interactive zones: experience, technology, technique and artistic choice. Each zone presents hands-on activities challenging the participant to reexamine one-point perspective, scale, horizon lines, color, light and shadow. Modern applications of digital and photographic technologies are explored throughout the exhibition, along with historical methods.
