WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. – Dominican High School is proud to announce that seniors Sydney Manista and Sadie Piatt have been named National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. High school seniors are selected as National Merit Finalists based on their academic performance throughout high school, SAT scores and participation and leadership in school and community activities. These academically talented students represent less than 1% of high school seniors nationwide and are eligible for the National Merit Scholarships that will be awarded in March.

Sydney is the daughter of Ray and Dawne Manista of Fox Point, Wisc. She is Dominican’s student body president, a member of the National Honor Society and captain of the varsity girls basketball team. Sadie is the daughter of James and Ann Piatt of Glendale, Wisc. Sadie is the senior class president, a member of the National Honor Society, and is involved in Dominican’s Theatre Department, staring in last year’s production of Phantom of the Opera
