“There are over 4000 colleges and universities in the United States and there’s a great fit out there for every student,” says Wright. “Many families are daunted by the college application process; they aren’t sure where to begin and it becomes overwhelming. I’m here to alleviate the stress surrounding this process and to even make it enjoyable.”

Wright was born to be a college counselor: her mother was a guidance counselor and hauled the family around on campus visits during every childhood spring break and summer vacation. By the time Christina was in high school she’d toured colleges all over country, including Trinity College and Indiana University.

After graduating from college, she worked as an admissions counselor at SUNY Maritime College and, from 2005 to 2007, she worked as an independent college counselor at a national college counseling firm helping over 200 high school students with the college application and essay writing process. In 2007, she moved to the other side of the desk to work as an admissions counselor at Marquette University. Most recently, she has served on the Due West Education Council helping Chinese high school students with their college essays as an editor.

Wright graduated from Columbia University where she was a captain of the women’s varsity swim team as well as a student worker in the admissions office. She holds two graduate degrees from Marquette University, an MA in Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Storytelling. On autumn weekends in Milwaukee you can find Christina watching only the beginning of NFL football games with her husband because that’s when the players announce where they attended college.
