To Celebrate World Communion Sunday, the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay will offer its fifth U2Eucharist at 9:00, Sunday, October 7th. This U2 Eucharist will feature music from U2’s catalog, including such favorites as Where the Streets Have No Name, Yaweh, Pride (In the Name of Love), Beautiful Day, Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and One.
The U2 Eucharist has received international media attention for its innovative use of the band’s biblically rich lyrics and social justice message, for its ability to bring together people of many different generations in a context of worship, and as a tool for raising awareness and empowering communities to respond to world hunger. The United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay will donate a portion of the offering collected on October 7th to Feed My Starving Children (www.fmsc.org), an organization that feeds poverty-stricken people in more than 60 countries across the globe.
