Whitefish Bay proudly presents one of the most beloved musicals of all time, Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music. Come join Maria, a postulant from Nonnberg Abbey, as she takes on the role as governess in the home of Captain von Trapp and his seven children. Watch as Maria, through her zest of life and love of music, brings joy back into this Austrian family. With the help of her wise and caring sisters from Nonnberg Abbey, Maria, the Captain, and his seven children are able to unite as a family, stand up against the rise of Nazism, and start a new life. With such wonderful numbers as The Sound of Music, My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Every Mountain, and Edelweiss, this night at the theatre is sure to delight audiences young and old. The performances will take place March 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 PM and March 3 at 2:00 in the Whitefish Bay Auditorium located at 1200 E Fairmount Avenue. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and $5 for children. All tickets can be purchased at the door.

More About Whitefish Bay High School
Whitefish Bay High School was founded in 1932 as a public secondary school. It offers its own football field and baseball diamond and competes with in the WIAA and provides students with several different athletic options for both male and female students. The academic curriculum prepares students for further education along with offering advanced placement courses. Juniors and Seniors can participate in a Work Experience program that offers credit as an elective. On street, free parking is available for students and parents.
