Of course its a no Brainer for Republicans, their actions say they dont really care about our soldiers lives. Well, according to both the liberal and conservative press, it's because Biden told the press that Obama was in favor of it a few days earlier. Subsequently, Obama's spokesman said that Obama had not indicated that he had changed his mind from what he had said during the 2010 campaign.

So, contrary to being courageous, Obama was forced out into the open. The issue was already settled as far as the press was concerned, so Obama could have flown under the radar on the issue until after the election, when he could have claimed he had an epiphany that turned him the other way . However, after the Biden disclosure Obama had no alternative but to say that he consulted his wife and kids, and they turned him around.

Considering this is a thread about Obama's courage, I couldn't have asked for better news as evidence of the contrary.

FWIW, I support gay marriage. I didn't need to evolve or talk to my family about it. All I had to do was apply logic and common sense to it and determine that it hurts no one. It's also about 3 steps from the bottom of a list of 20 or so issues that would be of importance to me as it relates to how I cast my vote in any election.
