Spring is here - I really don't want ot even think about some of this stuff yet but I also want to enjoy my Spring and Summer with no fleas, ticks etc.  So now is the time to think about things like Fleas, Ticks, Seasonal Allergies, Garden Chemicals/Coco Mulch, Parasites and Mosquitoes plus some of those nasty weeds.  Get an early start get the Flea and Tick protection on, start on seasonal allergy remedies, and pull some of those baby burdocks. 

Also I want to wish everyone a save and Happy Easter so here is my Easter alert for pet owners.

• Easter Lilies are beautiful flowers, but keep in mind they are also toxic to cats and may lead to liver and kidney failure. 

• Easter Grass is dangerous, if eaten this holiday staple can cause bowel obstructions, and no one wants to spend the holiday in the ER.

• We all love Easter egg hunts but make sure all the hunting and Easter egg eating takes place with humans only!(unless you have something special for your pets).  Remember that chocolate is toxic to dogs and very toxic to cats and a newish artifical sweetener that is used in many candies, gums and baked goods is Xylitol and it is potentially very toxic to dogs and ferrets.
