Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

VOTE: Where's the Best Place for Brunch?

Don't skip breakfast. And on a laid-back weekend morning, don't rush it, either. We'd like to know where you most enjoy starting off your day (or holiday).

Mother says breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

She also says that brunch is the most important meal of the year – the one you take her to on Mother's Day morning.

We asked you to balance out those breakfast-and/or-brunch imperatives and nominate your favorite place for a relaxing, take-your-time Saturday or Sunday morning tucker-in.

Help Patch name the best spot for a weekend breakfast or brunch by joining in our Readers' Choice contest this week. We've pulled together a list of some of the best spots in the immediate North Shore area, but we need your help choosing the winner. Here's how you can join in:

  • Vote in the poll below. Please vote only once.
  • Review or rate the restaurant on its Patch Directory page. You'll find the links in the list below.
  • Comment on this article, telling us what you like the best about your favorite spot.

You've got until 9 a.m. Friday to share your favorite. We'll post the winner Friday afternoon.

I'm surprised that Benji's Deli didn't make the list either...

I agree--Devon's deserves a spot on the list as well.

@CowDung: Thanks for reminding me about Benji's. I'll add that to the list right away.

As far as Coast, we are trying to keep the contest as local (and simple) as possible by sticking to Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, Fox Point, Bayside and the immediate North Shore area. Sure, there are tons of great places on the East Side and downtown (My ideal start to a Sunday is an andouille sausage omelet and bloody mary at Trocadero), but that's been done before by OnMilwaukee, Shepherd Express, etc...

How could I forget the infamous Lumberjack Brunch at Hubbard Park? I'll add that, plus Devon.

I can't believe that Cafe 1505 isn't on this list. they have already been voted the best place to have breakfast. It is the most homemade, real food on the Northshore. Who else makes their own delicious turkey sausage and with shredded apple at that.

I don't know if this qualifies as brunch, but Solly's is my husband's and my favorite place to go for breakfast on Saturday mornings. The perfect place for a cozy, 'homecooked' breakfast with coffee and the paper. I love that I don't have to get dressed up, it feels like I'm going to my family's house for breakfast!

Hi everyone, thanks for participating in the poll. Jack Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn made a last-minute surge to win the contest. Second place goes to Hubbard Park Lodge. We'll be posting an article announcing the winner shortly.
