Whitefish Bay High School Senior Erin Lehrmann said her medium of choice is oil on canvas. The painting of a person unzipping their back was based on the form of a live model during a summer school program at the University of Chicago, and the bottom three oil paintings are part of her series of paintings based on serial killers.

Martha Vandemortel will display a photograph and a three-dimensional display of cardboard cut outs at the art crawl tomorrow night.

Whitefish Bay High School Junior Costanza Generali's drawings and photography will be on display at the art crawl. Her photography work is a twist on the classic 'hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil' maxim.

The Whitefish Bay High School Art Department is opening its doors to show off student artwork at its third annual Whitefish Bay High School Art Crawl tomorrow night.

Sponsored by the art department and Friends of the Visual Arts, the art crawl will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in rooms 35 and 39 of Whitefish Bay High School.

In addition to viewing student artwork and meeting with student artists and art teachers, visitors will also be able to enjoy music, refreshments and participate in a silent auction benefiting the art department.

Is the Art Crawl on Thursday night? Since I'm opening this e-mail on Thursday morning...tomorrow night would be Friday. It would be helpful if the actual date of the event was listed. The Art Crawl is one of my favorite highschool events and without a child in the school district anymore it is difficult to keep abreast of what is happening. Thanks for posting.
